Who are we?

Pine AI is dedicated to using AI to help users handle everyday chores and disputes.

In the United States, calling customer service is often a hassle. You might have to wait half an hour, then spend a long time talking with an agent. If the agent isn’t willing to help, you may be transferred to another department. By the end, a single call can take one to two hours. Many people don’t have that much time to haggle with customer service and end up taking the loss. Others find phone communication difficult due to limited spoken English.

Pine AI is building eloquent, knowledgeable, and exceptionally memory-capable AI Agents that can automate this entire process—making calls, sending emails, and using a computer—to handle tasks like a human secretary.

This is absolutely not as simple as slapping a prompt on a SOTA model. We are looking for exceptional people to tackle this world-class challenge with us.

You will work shoulder to shoulder with a world-class team of engineers and scientists and receive direct guidance.

孙雨润 (Class of 2007, Department 11): Pine AI co-founder and CTO. Founding team member of 声网 (Agora), led the engineering team from 0 to 1 through to a successful Nasdaq IPO.
李博杰 (Class of 2010, Class 00): Pine AI co-founder and Chief Scientist. PhD jointly trained by MSRA and USTC, one of the first cohort of Huawei’s “Genius Youth”.

What You Will Do (What You’ll Do)

Build cutting-edge AI Agents: Help design, build, and maintain world-class autonomous AI Agent systems and the underlying infrastructure.
Create an exceptional voice experience: Innovate in real-time voice interactions to build conversational Agents that are as natural and efficient as humans.
Drive model evolution: Participate across the full model training lifecycle, including post-training, reinforcement learning (RL), and supervised fine-tuning (SFT).
Experience knowledge base and long-term user memory: Build AI that learns from experience and retains long-term memory, becoming more attuned to you with every interaction and achieving higher success rates.
Operate computers and phones like a human: Develop AI that can use computers and mobile phones like a person—whether booking flights or filling out complex forms.

Proficient with AI coding tools like Cursor: Over 80% of our code is written by AI. You must understand the capability boundaries of AI-assisted programming and be proficient with Cursor and similar tools.

Proactive and hands-on: Thrive in a fast-paced, energetic environment, proactively tackling complex technical challenges.
